Long before Sherlandra Revis became a recording artist, she was discovering the power of her voice inside the church. Born and raised in Goldsboro, North Carolina, she began singing with the youth choir and received her first solo at only five years old. That early opportunity introduced her to the joy of ministry through music and planted the seed for a calling that would continue to grow throughout her life.
At 13, Sherlandra joined her family’s gospel group, The Unionettes, beginning an important season of musical and spiritual development. Performing with her family gave her the opportunity to grow as a singer while remaining surrounded by the gospel traditions that shaped her. The experience strengthened her passion for worship and prepared her to eventually carry that foundation into a career of her own.
After relocating to Los Angeles, Sherlandra stepped into her solo journey in 2021 with the release of “Amazing Love” and its accompanying music video. The debut allowed her to introduce her personal sound and testimony to a wider audience. It was followed by Weekend Worship Artist recognition, a 2024 Global Music Award, and a Gospel Choice Music Award nomination, establishing her as an emerging voice with a meaningful message.
Sherlandra returned in 2026 with her second single, “In Your Hands,” continuing a story that began in a small church choir many years earlier. The release reflects an artist who has remained patient, committed, and grounded in her faith through every stage of her growth. As her platform expands, Sherlandra Revis continues using gospel music to celebrate God’s love, encourage trust, and remind listeners that their lives remain secure in His hands.
